The Bubbles are on their way! As of today, we are opening booking for the two Basecamp Bubbles - please note we are building out the spaces now so don't have pictures (trust us, it's going to be cool). Given all the interest we expect they will fill up fast, so don't hesitate to book your dates soon! More info at Basecamp Terlingua.
We will have two Bubbles each featuring a queen-size bed, full bath, coffee & tea station, small fridge, small seating area, outdoor seating and fire pit, bonus outdoor shower and awesome views of the Chisos Mountains. They will be located in a remote stretch of our property, close enough to allow people that book both to be near each other, but private enough that you'll still be able to feel secluded.
For you larger families, we have officially opened Casa Patron and Casa Anejo, our two newest properties over at Agave Terlingua! Casa Patron has been a huge hit with two bedrooms, full kitchen and living room. It is now our largest property, able to sleep up to 8 people.

Be sure to prepare and bring clothes for all kinds of weather, as the forecast is often inaccurate. The upside is that our burn ban is finally lifted, so be sure to grab some firewood before you head to town!
Bear Activity in Big Bend National Park Big Bend N.P. has recently closed the Lost Mine trail due to an abundance of bear activity! While this can be disappointing to some guests, we should all be celebrating the flourishing population of Black Bears, once thought to be entirely extinct in Texas, in Big Bend. Check the Big Bend National Park website for conditions and closures before your arrival to avoid any disappointment and to plan your trip.
Need help planning your trip? Ask Tony! Whether you're coming to enjoy the wild, raw beauty of the Big Bend, or if you just want to kick back and enjoy the easy pace of Terlingua, he's got you covered. Ask Tony any questions you may have to make your trip the most memorable experience until your next (a free service offered by Basecamp). Tony and Basecamp Team is also putting the finishing touches a brand spanking new guide book all about Big Bend - you heard us. If you'd like to be notified when it becomes available click here!
Coming up in Terlingua we are preparing for the onslaught of chili heads for the International Chili Cook-off during the first weekend of November, as well as our local Terlingua Green Scene festival, October 27, in the Ghost Town. Green Scene Festival is open to the public and is celebrating a decade of fun, art, education, food, and music ... all in support of the Terlingua Community Garden.
As always, we appreciate all of you that have supported us, and allowed us to grow and bring so many amazing things to the Big Bend. We love it here, and we know you do, too.
Peace out compadre.
